Trauma-Informed Care

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This training provides a brief introduction and overview of the concept of “Trauma Informed Care”, which shifts the focus from “What’s wrong with you?” to “What happened to you?”  It teaches what defines “Trauma” and what the signs and symptoms of trauma are in children, adults, and families.  By becoming informed in the impact of trauma, we can work together to provide better care to ourselves, our children and families, to provide appropriate referrals and interventions.  And mostly to prevent re-traumatization. Promoting a culture of safety, empowerment and healing.
